Hon. Randall L. Rehmeier (Ret.), Of Counsel is a retired Nebraska District Court Judge who has joined Mattson Ricketts Law Firm (of Counsel) with a practice focused on Mediation. During his 26 years on the bench, Judge Rehmeier handled bench and jury trials on a daily basis. These cases included civil matters of almost every nature. As a result of his trial experience, Rehmeier has unique qualifications and insight as a mediator. Through the mediation process, he is in a position to help the parties and attorneys evaluate their legal positions and costs vs. the benefits of pursuing legal resolution rather than settling in mediation. While on the bench, Judge Rehmeier participated in a number of training sessions sponsored by the Nebraska Supreme Court’s Office of Dispute Resolution. He has also completed training through the Nebraska Mediation Association. During the 13 years prior to going on the bench, Rehmeier was in general private practice and served as the County Attorney of Otoe County, Nebraska.
